Like most entries in the franchise, Monster Hunter Rise boasts an extensive catalog of monsters for hunters to tackle throughout their playthrough. Players can battle one monster in Monster Hunter Rise, the Bazelgeuse, an intimidating and aggressive Flying Wyvern that will crush those unprepared for a tough fight. Before challenging this boss, make sure you've got the right gear and weaponry.

When fighting this beast, it's good to know what it's weak against or where to inflict that good old damage to slaughter the foe quickly. So here's Bazelgeuse's weaknesses, resistances, and drop rates.

All Bazelgeuse Weaknesses

Bazelgeuse Elemental Weakness

The main weakness of Bazelgeuse is thunder, but if you have ice or dragon elements, those will still be relatively effective. But do not use water, as it does very little damage, and fire weapons are ineffective. Here are the locations where you should attack Bazelgeuse for extra elemental damage.

You should focus if using an elemental weapon on its Head, Leg, and Tail areas for the most damage, especially if you're using thunder weapons. If you're using ice or dragon weapons, aim for the wing and abdomen as well.

Bazelguese is strong against most ailments. The only ailment that has any lasting effect on this titan is Thunderblight, so make sure to get in and deal damage repeatedly with quick thunder weapons if you've got them.

Bazelgeuse Drop Rates - Carves, Capturing & Breaking

Depending on your quest, you can get different rewards to forge armor and weapons, but each has a drop rate percentage, ultimately RNG. It is pure luck what you receive.
