Niantic announced the next season of Pokémon Go, the Season of Go. This season will run from June 1, 2022 at 10am local time to September 1, 2022 at 10am local time. Like previous seasons, the Season of Go will bring new events, Spotlight Hours, Raid bosses, and more for players to enjoy.
Raids
Five-Star Raids
Niantic has outlined the first month of Raids that we can expect during the Season of Go. There will be a few returning Pokémon in Five-Star Raids this season. Kyogre, Groudon, and Mewtwo make appearances in Raids over the next month. All three Pokémoon can be shiny upon encounter, so fans wanting some shiny legendaries will have plenty of opportunity over the next month.
- Kyogre - June 1 to June 7
- Groudon - June 7 to June 16
- Mewtwo (knows the move Shadow Ball) - June 16 to June 23
- Mewtwo (knows the move Psystrike) - June 23 to July 1
Mega Raids
Some powerful Pokémon are making an appearance in Mega Raids over the next month.
- Mega Steelix - June 1 to June 7
- Mega Aerodactyl - June 7 to June 16
- Mega Venusaur - June 16 to June 23
- Mega Blastoise - June 23 to July 1

Spotlight Hours
Spotlight Hours increase the spawn rate of a featured Pokémon, giving players the chance to obtain Candies and maybe even a shiny or two. Listed below are all of the Spotlight Hours in the first month of the Season of Go and their bonuses.
- Nosepass - June 7 (Players will receive double Candy for catching Pokémon during this Spotlight Hour)
- Mantine - June 14 (Players will get double Candy for transferring Pokémon during this Spotlight Hour)
- Spinarak - June 21 (Players get double XP for evolving Pokémon during this Spotlight Hour)
- Pikachu (wearing a TCG hat) - June 28 (Players will get double Stardust for catching Pokémon during this Spotlight Hour)
Events
We know about a few events coming up in Pokémon Go, but not much past the month of June.
- Pokémon Go Fest - Starts on June 4.
- Adventure Week - Will run from June 7 to June 12.
- Pokémon Go and Pokémon: TCG Event - Will run from June 16 to June 30.

- Guaranteed XL Candy from trading Pokémon
- PokéStops will give a guaranteed gift when spun
- Lure Modules will last for one hour
- Players playing remotely in Raids will do increased damage
- Players fighting in a Raid with friends will get increased damage for that Raid
