If you are wondering if Rainbow Six Extraction is a separate game from Rainbow Six Siege, the answer is yes. Rainbow Six Siege is an entirely new game from the creators of Rainbow Six Siege. 

However, despite being a new game, Extraction still holds strong ties to Rainbow Six Siege as Extraction features many operators from the previous title in the Rainbow Six series.  

Many of the weapons players have come to know and love in Siege will also appear in some form in Rainbow Six Extraction. The setting is the same as well but set in an alternate Rainbow Six universe.

In this alternative universe, a strange alien force takes center stage as the primary foe of the game. Players will need to battle these aliens called Archaeans throughout a grand total of 13 containment zones in various game modes.

The game will also feature endgame content, events that will feature new enemies. That said, Rainbow Six Extraction will launch on January 20 across numerous consoles and systems, including the Xbox Game Pass.
