To fix a deep wound in Project Zomboid, players will need to have a suture needle or a needle and thread. If players have either item, they will be able to fix their deep wound by going into the health tab and right-clicking on their wound.
Right clicking their wound will then reveal the option to stitch up their deep wound. However, it's worth noting that it's better to have a suture needle rather than a needle and thread.

The reason is that suture needles cause less pain than needles and threads and have a higher successful wound treatment rate.
This success rate also goes up even more if the player has a suture needle holder in their inventory. That said, if players need to locate a suture needle or the holder, they will need to find and loot Medicine Cabinets.
Inside these cabinets, players will potentially find the suture needle you need to heal deep wounds. If players cannot locate a suture needle, your next and best option is to locate a needle and thread.
Luckily, simple needles can also be found in Medicine Cabinets, so if players don't find one, chances are they will find the other. But they will still need thread, and can search for it inside sheds, stores, cabinets, and some cars.
