Gamers can change their name in Halo Infinite Multiplayer by changing their Xbox Gamertag online. If this is the first time changing it, it will be free of charge, but there will be a $10 fee (depending on region) that players are required to pay if they'd like to change it again.

Go to Xbox.com and sign into the account associated with your current Gamertag. Once signed in, click on your avatar at the top right corner of the screen and click on Xbox Profile to access your account information.

Once your Xbox Profile is open, click Customize and click on the edit tab next to your current gamer tag. This leads directly to the page that the image above displays and there, you can enter a new Gamertag that must consist of 12 characters, including spaces, and it cannot begin with any numbers.

Check the availability of your new Gamertag and hope, with fingers crossed, that it hasn't already been taken. Once the availability has been checked, press the Claim button, and voila if no one already claims it! When you get back on Halo Infinite Multiplayer, this will be your new name and Gamertag.
