Call of Duty: Vanguard uses Covenants as perks in Der Anfang Zombies. There are 11 existing Covenants in the game and five more are planned to arrive with the new season. Here's a list of all the new Covenants and upgrades coming to Vanguard Zombies Season One.
- Available Rarity - Rare, Epic, and Legendary
- Description - Deal damage to nearby enemies.
- Available Rarity - Rare, and Epic
- Description - Aiming down sights automatically moves the crosshairs to the headshot location on enemies. Removes weapon sway and deals more damage on the first critical shot to each enemy.
- Available Rarity - Rare, Epic, and Legendary
- Description - Stuns the enemy you shoot at. Upgrade to Legendary Rarity to stun nearby enemies as well.

- Description - Gain more Salvage from pickups. Upgrade to Legendary Rarity to receive more Salvage from pickups and objective rewards.
- Available Rarity - Rare, Epic, and Legendary
- Description - The faster you move, the more damage you deal. Furthermore, you can fire while sprinting similar to the Gung-Ho proficiency from Multiplayer. Upgrade to Legendary Rarity to activate the perk immediately upon moving.
After the Season One Zombies update, there will be 15 Covenant types, while the total Covenant upgrades will be 46. In addition to the new Covenants, a new objective mode called Purge and new weapons will be introduced to the game.
